The word donation means donation. Donation is to donate an organ or tissue to a person in need. In IVF treatments, donation is made as sperm donation or egg donation.

Donors must be between the ages of 18 and 40.
There should be no general health problems.
Sperm quality and reserve should be at the highest level.
They should not have a hereditary disease.
Donation screening: Before this procedure, the medical history of the couples and previous IVF treatments are examined. A decision is then made on eligibility for the donation process.
Donor selection: In embryo transfer, the sperm cells and egg cells required for pregnancy are provided by the donors. The donor can be determined by the IVF center, or it can be someone known to the mother and father-to-be.
Donation preparation: Before embryo donation, expectant mothers go through the preparation process. The uterus of the expectant mother is made ready for pregnancy with some drugs. The expectant mother should not menstruate before the procedure and the uterus should be ready for pregnancy. When the expectant mother is ready, the embryo is transferred into the uterus.
Fertilization: There are some drugs for the expectant mother and the donor in embryo donation procedures. Eggs are collected 10-12 days after the donor and fertilized in the laboratory with sperm cells specially brought to the father-to-be.
Embryo transfer: After successful fertilization in the donation process, the embryo is transferred into the suitable uterus. The expectant mother can join the donation painlessly in a few minutes under ultrasound guidance. After embryo transfer, the pregnancy process is normal.
